Afters (03/04/14)

Afters is when a group of players go someplace to eat and hang out "after" a game.  Usually a bar or restaurant near the game site, or someplace that's convenient for the party of late night adventurers. Wink

LARP (03/22/19)

LARP is short for Live Action Role Playing game.

Live-Action Role-Playing ('LARP'; occasionally 'LRP'): Games in which players act out many elements of their characters' activities in person - usually while wearing more or less appropriate costumes. To avoid injury to the players, combat is simulated with dummy weapons and a large number of rules and restrictions to govern such actions. Live Action play seems to have evolved mostly from a large number of games in which the primary activities were combat and treasure-hunting - which in turn owe their inspiration to Dungeon-Bashing (q.v.) table-top play.

In Desert of Shadows, the Live Action Role Play is centered around By Night Studio's World of Darkness, Vampire: the Masquerade game where players take on the personae of Vampires within a fictitious setting laid out by the  By Night Studio's core book.

What constitutes an active chracter. (03/22/19)

Characters are considered active in any month they earn experience points, play in games, or attend special IC side events. Characters that have not been active in a particular month may not contribute efforts to downtime actions during that in-active month. Characters that have not been active over 90 days will be moved to the in-active roster.
